The Best Thing About A Mentor

personalguarantee

This quote from Bob Proctor encapsulates what I aim to achieve through mentoring virtual assistants.

“A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.” Bob Proctor

Most of the women I mentor have never owned and operated a business previously. They are not only concerned about being able to make a go of the business, but also have lost a lot of their confidence for any number of reasons. They may have been out of work for some time, lost their job, been made redundant, have a health issue or have been raising and are raising children. A whole lot of them have experienced discrimination in one form or another.

For me being able to resonate with women and share in their success is the reason that I get up every morning looking forward to the day ahead. It is a very humbling experience and I am very thankful to be in a position to offer help and support daily. There is no greater feeling in the world than seeing a mentee take their business to where they want it to be and be proud of their achievements.

I have met, mentored and am mentoring some amazing people. I feel very blessed.

Why I Make A Great Mentor

In my book, Eliminate, Automate, Delegate an Essential Guide to the Solopreneur I write about delegation in quite some detail. A successful delegator has to let go of their ego when working with a team. They have to trust the people they delegate to and be a great listener. Likewise when you are a mentor you need to trust and listen to the mentee to get to what is holding them back. Often the mentee themselves don’t know and you have to be able to listen well and guide them to where they become aware of the barriers that are holding them back.

I am a teacher, a counsellor, someone who motivates and empowers you. A supporter who aids you in your business growth. I facilitate personal and professional growth by sharing knowledge and insights.

Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which one person shares knowledge, skills, information and perspective to foster the personal professional growth of the mentee. Everyone has a need for insight that is outside our normal life and educational experience.

The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, goal achievement and problem solving. This is what makes 121 Temps very special to its members and community.

I am so grateful  found Liz Parker of 121 Temps.  After having to leave my full time government job due to the nw and increasing medical problems with my 18 year physically disabled son, I am sill able to earn an income from home working around a busy medical visit schedule.  With the ongoing training and mentoring from Liz, I have gained more confidence in searching for potential clients who I can work for.  I highly recommends any parent that wants to work from home, not matter what your circumstances are to contact 121 Temps.  You won't be disappointed.

Over the years I have probably tried every type of work from home business available that was free.  I have never handed over my hard-earned money to get assistance in requiring work with anyone.  That was before I found 121 Temps.  This is a business who genuinely wants to help you succeed in running your own virtual office from home.  Right from the beginning you are made to feel welcome and with their invaluable wealth of knowledge and assistance, there are no words that can describe the inspiration that is gained.  I highly recommend contacting 121 if you have always dreamed of starting your own business, being your own boss, working the hours that you want and feeling as though you are not alone.  You've got nothing to lose by making a phone call, yet you will gain so much by getting started.  After all the years of searching for the right business for me, finding 121 Temps was like coming home.
